SOLVENTS: WHAT IS IT?
Are considered as solvents the volatile liquids that have the property to dissolve the jointer, resin or any other solid materials and/or liquids without its original chemical structures altered. Are essential to the productive chain of several industrial segments and employees, for example, in the manufacturing of plastic and resin, varnishes, paints, agricultural defensives, adhesives, cosmetics and detergents, among others innumerable products.

SOLVENTS PRODUCTION FLOW CHART
The flow chart below represents, summarized, the process to obtain solvents from the petroleum. The most of the hydrocarbon solvents used in Brazil are derivative from the petroleum refine (physical process) or of naphtha processing (chemical process).

TIPOS DE SOLVENTES EXEMPLOS
ALIFACT SOLVENTS paints diluent, rubber solvent, hexano, pentano, etc.
MEDIUM ALIFACT SOLVENTS turpentine, kerosene, medium solvent, etc.
AROMATIC SOLVENTS toluene, xylene, AB9, AB10 e AB11, etc.
OXYGENATED SOLVENTS cetone, alcohol, ethereal, glycol, acetate and others.
OTHERS SOLVENTS nitrous solvents, chlorated, sulphated, clorofluorados, etc.
